The front panel of the notebook chassis contains one or more drive bays. These bays allow |disk drives| to be incorporated into the internal system. A disk drive is accessible from the exterior of the chassis (for insertion of a |floppy diskette|). A |hard disk drive| is especially preferred, as it can dramatically expand the notebooks memory and speed of data acquisition.
